The District enrols 19,500 students (in the top fifteen percent in Canada) and is one of Abbotsford's largest employers, with 1,975 full and part-time teaching and support staff, along with hundres of Teachers-on-Call(TOC) and casual workers.

- The unique "Career Technical Centre" offers 10 specialty programs that allow students to begin their post-secondary studies while still completing their high school programs.
- Challenging programs of choice are offered for elementary and middle students at our Fine Arts School, two traditional elementary schools and one middle traditional school. Early and Late French Immersion programs are available in many of our schools.
- International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs for the academically motivated provide opportunity to earn university credits while attending high school.
- A thriving International Student Program provides unique educational and cultural experiences for both local and international students.
- Abbotsford's schools have well equipped computer labs, libraries, and gymnasia. Many schools offer computer assisted learning, and the district also promotes reading intervention programs.
